【摘要】:Thistestmethodisprimarilyusedasanacceptancetestforproductsofzirconium,hafnium,andtheiralloys.Thisstandardhasbeenwidelyusedinthedevelopmentofnewalloys,heattreatingpractices,andforevaluationofweldingtechniques.Specimensarenormallytestedaftercarefuletchingandrinsing.Specimenswithas-manufacturedsurfacesmayalsobetestedwithoutfurthersurfaceremoval.Whentubingwithasecondmaterialcladontheinnersurfaceistobetested,theinnercladdingshallberemovedpriortothetest.1.1Thistestmethodcovers(1)thedeterminationofmassgain,and(2)thesurfaceinspectionofproductsofzirconium,hafnium,andtheiralloyswhencorrosiontestedinwaterat680176;Forinsteamat750176;F.1.2Thistestmethodistobeutilizedinitsentiretytotheextentspecifiedhereinasaproductacceptancetest.1.3Thistestmethodmaybeusedonwroughtproducts,castings,powdermetallurgyproducts,andweldmetals.1.4Acompletemetriccompaniontothistestmethodhasbeendeveloped,TestMethodG2M.Therefore,nometricequivalentsareshown.However,sincethemassgainandsurfaceareaofthespecimenandtheelectricalresistivityofwaterarealwaysmeasuredorcalculatedinSIunits,thesearegiveninSIunits.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection9.
