【摘要】:ThispracticeprovidesinformationnecessarytodocumenttheaccuracyandperformanceofanAcousticEmissionsystem.Thisinformationisusefulforreferencepurposestoassurethattheinstrumentationperformanceremainsconsistentwithtimeanduse,andprovidestheinformationneededtoadjustthesystemtomaintainitsconsistency.Themethodssetforthinthispracticearenotintendedtobeeitherexclusiveorexhaustive.Difficultorquestionableinstrumentationmeasurementsshouldbereferredtoelectronicsengineeringpersonnel.Itisrecommendedthatpersonnelresponsibleforcarryingoutinstrumentmeasurementsusingthispracticeshouldbeexperiencedininstrumentationmeasurements,aswellasalltherequiredtestequipmentbeingusedtomakethemeasurements.1.1Thispracticeisrecommendedforuseintestingandmeasuringoperatingcharacteristicsofacousticemissionelectroniccomponentsorunits.(SeeAppendixX1foradescriptionofcomponentsandunits.)Itisnotintendedthatthispracticebeusedforroutinechecksofacousticemissioninstrumentation,butratherforperiodicevaluationorintheeventofamalfunction.Thesensorisnotaddressedinthisdocumentotherthansuggestingmethodsforstandardizingsystemgains(equalizingthemchanneltochannel)whensensorsarepresent.1.2Wherethemanufacturerprovidestestingandmeasuringdetailsinanoperatingandmaintenancemanual,themanufacturer''smethodsshouldbeusedinconjunctionwiththemethodsdescribedinthispractice.1.3Themethods(techniques)usedfortestingandmeasuringthecomponentsorunitsofacousticemissioninstrumentation,andtheresultsofsuchtestingandmeasuringshouldbedocumented.Documentationshouldconsistofphotographs,screenshots,chartsorgraphs,calculations,andtabulationswhereapplicable.1.4AEsystemsthatusecomputerstocontrolthecollection,storage,display,anddataanalysis,mightincludewaveformcollectionaswellasawideselectionofmeasurementparameters(features)relatingtotheAEsignal.Themanufacturerprovidesaspecificationforeachsystemthatspecifiestheoperatingrangeandconditionsforthesystem.Allcalibrationandacceptancetestingofcomputer-basedAEsystemsmustusethemanufacturer''sspecificationasaguide.Thispracticedoesnotcovertestingofthecomputerorcomputerperipherals.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
