【摘要】:Thedatageneratedbythistestmethodshallbeusedtodeterminewhetheraircraftstructuralaluminumalloysareliabletobecorrodedordamagedbyapplicationofthetestmaterialduringroutinemaintenanceoperations.Interpretationofthesandwichcorrosiontestresultsisbasedonacomparisonoftheappearanceoffayingsurfacesofthreesetsofcoupons.Onesetoftestcouponsisexposedwithreagentwateronlyinthefayingsurfaces,toestablishthebaseline(controls)againstwhichthepanelsexposedtothetestmaterialarecompared.Disregardcorrosionatcutedgesofthetestcoupons.Therelativecorrosionseverityratingsystemisprovidedinordertoallowanumericalclassificationofthetestresultsandtoeliminatethenecessityforelaborateweightlossmeasurements.Pittingcorrosion,whichisrated4x2014;extensive(severe)corrosion,mayinvolveonlyanegligibleweightloss.Relativecorrosionseverityratingsystem:Appearance/Corrosion:
