【摘要】:Thispracticeissuitablefortheremovalofcontaminantsfoundonmaterials,parts,andcomponentsusedinsystemsrequiringahighlevelofcleanliness,suchasoxygen.Partsshallhavebeenprecleanedtoremovevisiblecontaminantspriortousingthisprocedure.Softgoodssuchassealsandvalveseatsmaybecleanedwithoutprecleaning.ThisproceduremayalsobeusedasthecleanlinessverificationtechniqueforcouponsusedduringcleaningeffectivenesstestsasinTestMethodG122.Thecleaningefficiencyhasbeenshowntovarywiththefrequencyandpowerdensityoftheultrasonicunit.Lowfrequenciesinthe20to25kilohertzrangehavebeenfoundtodamagesoftmetalssuchasaluminumandsilver.Therefore,thespecificationsoftheunitandthefrequenciesavailablemustbeconsideredinordertooptimizethecleaningconditionswithoutdamagingtheparts.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforthecleaningofmaterialsandcomponentsusedinsystemsrequiringahighlevelofcleanliness,suchasoxygen,byultrasonictechniques.1.2Thispracticemaybeusedforcleaningsmallparts,components,softgoods,etc.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsarestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninNote1.
